Number Stations

I just heard about this from an NPR "Driveway Moment" podcast, and I find it awesome. Apparently there are shortwave radio stations that broadcast nothing but numbers - someone repeating numbers non-stop. Sometimes letters. Sometimes numbers in various languages.

Most people believe they're broadcast for or by spies, but I love it as an example that there's always something weird going on around you that you just don't know about but might stumble across accidentally. Totally cool. Listen to the NPR story below. It's fascinating.
